This policy applies to the website, the laser-cutting project generator, the vector editor, the calculators, the free resources and the Obra Láser Pro features available on the site.
2. What data we collect
Free tools
You can use the free Obra Láser tools without creating an account or providing your name or email address.
While you browse, technical data may be processed, such as your IP address, approximate country of connection, browser information and data needed for the operation, security and statistics of the site.
Obra Láser Pro accounts
To use the paid features you need to sign in and have an active subscription.
Authentication is done through Google and Firebase. We may receive and use the basic data needed to identify your account, such as name, email address, user ID and verification status.
We do not store your Google password.
Subscriptions and payments
To manage Obra Láser Pro we keep the data needed to verify transactions and maintain the access you purchased, such as subscription and payment references, amounts, currency, dates, statuses, access periods and refund or cancellation requests.
For Mercado Pago transactions we may also receive the payer's email address. For Whop transactions we receive the information needed to identify and manage the membership.
Payments are processed directly by Mercado Pago or Whop. Obra Láser does not receive or store full card numbers or their security codes.
Inquiries and requests
When you contact us or use the cancellation, withdrawal, refund or bug-report forms, we may keep the data you provide in order to handle and document your request.
3. What we use the data for
We use personal data only for purposes related to the operation and administration of the service:
- Providing access to the tools and keeping user sessions.
- Identifying accounts and enabling Pro features.
- Verifying subscriptions, payments, cancellations and refunds.
- Handling inquiries, requests and technical problems.
- Protecting the site against unauthorized access, fraud and abuse.
- Measuring traffic and improving how the tools work.
- Complying with legal, tax, accounting and consumer-protection obligations.
Processing is carried out under Argentine Law 25,326, on the legally permitted grounds of providing the service, performing the contract, complying with legal obligations and consent where applicable.
We do not sell our users' personal data.
The data needed to purchase Pro is required to provide that service. If you do not want to sign up, you can keep using the free tools that do not require an account.
4. Google Analytics and statistics
Obra Láser uses Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic and how the site is used.
This tool provides statistics on visits, pages viewed, approximate traffic sources, devices used and interactions with the different tools.
Google Analytics may use cookies and browser identifiers to take these measurements.
The purpose of these statistics is to understand how Obra Láser is used, detect problems and improve its tools and content.
Analytics cookies are used in line with users' consent preferences and the requirements of applicable law.
Google processes the information it receives under its own terms and privacy policies.
Google's policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
5. Cookies and local storage
Obra Láser uses cookies and browser storage technologies for different purposes:
Technical cookies: keep sessions, handle authentication and protect the operation of the site.
Google Analytics cookies: provide traffic and usage statistics. They may include identifiers such as _ga and other measurement-related cookies.
Local storage and IndexedDB: keep preferences, language, settings and projects in the user's browser. Firebase may also use local storage to keep you signed in.
Cookies and stored data can be deleted through your browser settings. Some features, especially those related to the session and autosave, may be affected if their storage is blocked or deleted.
6. Designs and projects created by users
The designs, vectors and projects you create with the Obra Láser tools are processed in your browser.
Autosave may store settings, geometry and images used by certain tools locally.
Obra Láser does not offer cloud storage of these projects in a personal account. Work saved locally is not transferred to our servers as part of autosave.
The files you download or export remain under your control.
If you choose to send us a file or screenshot to ask for help, we will use that material only to handle your inquiry.
7. Providers and international transfers
To provide the service we use specialized external providers:
- Google Firebase: user authentication and identification.
- Cloudflare: web hosting, databases, sessions, security and technical operation.
- Google Analytics: traffic and site-usage statistics.
- Mercado Pago: processing and management of subscriptions paid through that platform.
- Whop: processing and management of subscriptions paid through that platform.
- Gmail: sending certain notices and operational communications.
These providers may process information on servers located outside Argentina.
Processing and international data transfers are subject to the providers' terms and to the legal safeguards that apply under the relevant regulations.
Mercado Pago and Whop are also responsible for the data they collect directly when processing payments, under their own policies.
Payment providers' policies:
8. Retention and deletion of data
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or to comply with legal obligations.
Data linked to an account is kept while it is needed to provide the service and is deleted when appropriate, at the request of its owner.
If you delete your account, the linked subscriptions will be cancelled where applicable. If a transaction is still awaiting confirmation from the payment provider, you will be informed.
Certain payment records, receipts, financial transactions and audit logs may be kept after the account is deleted for the periods required by accounting, tax or other legal obligations.
Inquiries, requests and technical logs are kept for as long as needed to handle them and to address possible obligations or claims.
Projects stored only in your browser are not necessarily deleted when you delete your account, since they remain on your device.
9. User rights
You can request access to your personal data and its rectification, update or erasure, where applicable, by writing to: obralaser@gmail.com
In Argentina, access requests are answered within the ten calendar days set by Law 25,326. Rectification, update or erasure requests are handled within the five business days set by that law.
You can also delete your account from the My account section, without prejudice to records that must be kept by law.
Where the data-protection laws of other countries apply, you may exercise the additional rights granted by those laws.
We may ask for reasonable identity verification before providing, changing or deleting personal information.
Under Argentine Law 25,326, data subjects have the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown (article 14, paragraph 3).
The Agency for Access to Public Information (AAIP), as the supervisory authority of Law 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints and claims filed for non-compliance with the personal-data-protection rules.

No computer system can guarantee absolute security. If an incident compromises personal data, the appropriate measures will be taken and the notifications required by applicable law will be made.
